Throughout the year our class will be working together to help others in need. I encourage all of you to participate in these projects as they teach our children to think about others and .
2nd Trimester Projects:
1. Spark Of Love - Each child is encouraged to bring in a new toy for a child in need. A box will be in the classroom that we wouldl ike to fill up to the top and hopefully overflow. This toy drive will begin on Monday, December 7 and end on Wednesday, December 16. This is a great opportunity for your children to make a difference in another child’s life. You are more than welcome to bring in more than one toy. Thank you for supporting such a wonderful cause.
1st Trimester projects:
1. Operation Christmas Child – Each participant will place items in a shoe box to send to kids across the country for Christmas. A flyer went home on Friday, October 30 explaining this project. If you are interested in participating, let me know and I will send home a shoe box for you to start filling. I will need to collect all of the boxes by Monday, November 16.
2. Placemats and cards for Freedom Village and Shut-ins - During class we will be decorating placemats and making Thanksgiving cards.
